Launch of Disinfectant tunnel to combat spread of COVID-19
In the wake of the persistent Covid-19 pandemic, many efforts towards combating it are continuously being witnessed. Numerical Machining Complex Limited (NMC) has designed and manufactured a disinfectant tunnel to supplement the Ministry of Health’s efforts to combat the spread of Covid-19.
The disinfectant tunnel which produces sufficient fog will be located at the Nairobi Central Railway Station in order to be used by the thousands of commuters boarding the Nairobi Commuter Rail Service trains and other members of the public. The disinfectant tunnel works by emitting tiny droplets of the disinfecting agent.
The Disinfectant Tunnel was launched by the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Mr James Macharia lauded the initiative by the Numerical Machining Complex and Kenya Railways terming it a positive development in the Governments quest to flatten the curve and completely mitigate the spread of the virus.
