June 7th, 2023, H.E. Dr. William Ruto, the President of the Republic of Kenya, toured the Numerical Machining Complex stand during the commissioning of the Electro-Deposition (ED) Paint Plant at Isuzu East Africa.

The commissioning of the ED Paint Plant marks a significant milestone for Isuzu East Africa as it seeks to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and meet the growing demand for high-quality vehicles in the region. The plant will allow Isuzu East Africa to produce vehicles with a superior finish and increased durability.

During his tour, the President was impressed by the auto parts, machinery and equipment manufactured by Numerical Machining Complex. NMC uses state-of-the-art facilities and specializes in precision machining, fabrication, and assembly of complex components for various industries.

The President affirmed that Kenya is committed to hosting more automotive players to increase local production of vehicles. He said the National Automotive Policy has created a conducive environment for firms to set up in Kenya. He noted that the policy has tamed instability in the sector, especially regarding tax laws.

The president praised Isuzu East Africa for its commitment to innovation and investment in advanced manufacturing technologies. He noted that the company’s investment in the ED Paint Plant and collaboration with local manufacturers like Numerical Machining Complex would create more job opportunities for Kenyans and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
